Mouni Roy was born on 28 Sept 1985 into a middle-class Bengali family in Cooch Behar, Weste Bengal. Her dad, Anil Roy is any workplace superintendent and her mom Mukti Roy is a secondary school teacher. She got the genealogy of performing from her paternal grandpa Shekhar Chandra Roy who was a well-known cinema specialist. She has a young sibling known as Mukhar Roy. Mouni Roy converted herself into a choreographer during her higher education (college) times. Being a qualified kathak professional dancer, she has also learned many other dancing types. Thus she has been recommended for her outstanding dancing abilities.
